About Us
Welcome to the home of the German Shorthaired Pointer. We are a small professional hobby kennel outside of Wembley Alberta, 20 minutes west of Grande Prairie Alberta. We breed because we love the breed and to produce quality companions for field and home. Our dogs are first and foremost family members with our concern being their health, temperament and maintaining their hunting ability.
Our puppies are sold under contracts and a written health guarantee. All prospective buyers must answer a questionnaire. Our pups are socialized from day one and a checklist of things that they have been exposed to is given to the new owners. Some of these things include, exposure to people of all ages, cats, dogs, horses, household noises, gunfire and live quail. Along with this checklist, we also send the puppy home with a puppy pack that has his or her pedigree, copies of parents health clearances, helpful tips, sample of puppy food and feeding guide, chews, toys, a blanket and 6 weeks of PetPlan Insurance. All of our puppies will have had some crate training.
Peregrine Kennels is registered with the Canadian Kennel Club and is a member in good standing with the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Canada and the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America. Leah is a licensed Animal Health Technologist that has worked at veterinary clinics in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta.
